Update, Ebay, and Camping

Good Morning Everyone!
The weather here in my part of the world has been great! A few hot days but nothing unbearable. Today we have sun and a slight breeze, so I am sitting on the deck with my coffee as I work on this post.

First off to update you on what I have  been stitching the past couple of weeks.
Prairie Gardens
Remember in my last post I was frogging because I miss counted
And now I have restitched  and completed that square and
started another one
Woodland Folks
This was as of July 12

And I have a little bit more dark brown completed

And a new start and almost finish is
hip hip Hurrah by
Bent Creek

I saw this on someone else's blog and loved it, I googled it, found one on ebay. I was the only person that bid on it so I won it and it came in the mail on Thursday (July 17th) and I started on Friday.
All I have left to do is the 3 corners and it will be done. It was an easy stitch!! Love Love Love it!!!

I also have been cleaning up my stitching room and decided to part with some of my patterns that I know that I will never stitch or have stitch but won't stitch again. I have listed over 50 patterns on ebay and plan to go through more of my stuff and list them as well. So if you are interested you can check my stuff out HERE.

One Last picture for you, This was taken last weekend while we were camping.
This was in the morning after we woke them up so we could head home. A few of them still look a little bit sleepy, but I got a few smiles for the camera.

Well I am off to get ready for an afternoon at the Post Office.
Everyone have a great day

Update and New Start

Good Morning Everyone!
Lots to update you on,
Last week was a week of medical stuff and not for me this time.
First my grandson broke his nose and had to have surgery to fix it.
He got hit by a golf ball, poor kid. But he is doing good and is healing fast.

Our next medical situation was that my husband had to have surgery for a hernia.
It was a same day surgery and he is also doing fine but is not allowed to do any heavy lifting yet.

The same day of the surgery my daughter sent me a picture of our granddaughter, she had been playing out side the night before and got bitten up by bugs and her eyes were swollen shut. A little bit of benadryl  and ice packs and she back to normal.
So things happen in 3's so we should be good for a while now.

So on to some stitching stuff.
Here is the material I found to finish this pin keep with, what do you think?

More progress on Prairie Garden

And a new start
This is a piece that I am doing for my niece's new little man, Zachary.
This piece is called Woodland Folks by Lee Holland and DMC.
This is what it will look like when completed
I will be putting some clouds above the animal and stitching his name and birth date on it to make it a birth sampler. Aren't those little animals just the cutest things.

On Sunday we had a family reunion at the park, and we celebrated a couple of miles stone also.
First was my aunt and uncles 50th wedding anniversary

And my mom's cousin's 80th birthday

The highlight of the afternoon was when my twin brother took another one of the cousins for a ride on his Harley. She was so excited and loved it.

Well that is all I have for you today!
Time to get some work done.

Found a Cute Freebie

Good Morning Everyone!
The sun is shining at the moment but we are suppose to get thunderstorms and bad weather later today. There has been some flooding lately but has not affected us directly, but who's to say what will happen if this rain does not let up soon.

Stitching Update

I was trying to catch up on my blog reading and I came across a Free Pattern that I thought was very cute so I stitched it up in a couple of days. You can find the pattern HERE

Fourth of July Heart
by Sandy in Montana
I used fabric from stash
25 ct Floba Oatmeal
and fibers I picked
WDW - Snowflake, GAST- Cranberry, GAST- Presidential Blue and DMC black to backstitch.
I plan to finish this into a pinkeep. Now to look in my stash of material and see if I have any thing that will work or do I get to go shopping.

Here is an up date on my Prairie Gardens
One more flower done and one almost done.

A couple of nights ago I took this picture of the full moon, not quite the picture I was trying to get. It was kinda cloudy and hazing out. Need to practice on my night time photo shots.

And last night it was so nice out that I went out to sit on my deck for awhile and this is what I saw.
You might think so what a bunch of people playing baseball, well you have to remember I live out in the country with no neighbors around for miles. I am used to going out side and listening to the birds and cows. It was fun to watch them and hear there yelling and cheering.

Well the house work is yelling to get done, I hope everyone has a great week!

A Month in Pictures

Good Morning Everyone!
Since my last post I have been busy busy busy!
Stitching and spending time with the grand kids.

On the 15th of May I went with the 4th, 5th & 6th graders bowling
what a hoot! And they had so much fun. Then it was off to the park for a picnic lunch.

I had intended to do an update on May 20th
I had finished the sunflower on
A Prairie Garden

On the 25th we had our first truck pull of the season.
This is my son, TJ driving and my SIL, Travis riding in the passenger seat.

Finished the purple flower on the 27th,
again I had planned to post an update and it didn't get done.
I started these little ornaments last year and never finished them.
So I got two more of them done
8 Maids of Milking and 9 Ladies Dancing
Just have 10, 11 12 days of Christmas left

My daughter and SIL  went on vacation with some other couples so I had their kids for the weekend.
What fun we had spoiling them!
On the 29th I took the grand kids to the swimming pool for an afternoon of fun.
Sharlee and Trey covering Gavin in sand

Not only did I have the kids but we had the pleasure of taking care of their 6 month old puppy,
Buddy. He doesn't look like a puppy but he sure act like one. he is all over the place and has to be watched closer than the kids. But is so lovable!

Monday Kay and I took the kids to the zoo. The main reason I wanted to go was because they have a new baby giraffe. It was so cute but hard to get a good picture of it.

After the zoo we went to the park for a picnic lunch and let the kid play on all the fun stuff.
This is Gavin telling time on the sun dial they have in the park.
You stand on the month of the year and hold your arms up and your shadow will land on the time of day that it is.
Pretty cool!

And this is my progress of A Prairie Garden as of this morning.

Well that's about it for now, I have to work this afternoon so for the rest of the morning I will be stitching.
Have a Great Day!!!!!
Happy Stitching

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope all you Mom's out there had a great Mother's Day! I know that I did. All of my kids were here to see me and gave me some very special gifts, want to see?
I also got a Zero Gravity Chair, which I did not get a picture of yet. But I did spend some time in it this weekend. They are really comfy!
We have had a lot going on this week

To start with we have had a lot of calves being born that needed to be tagged, banded and sorted into other lots.

Thursday night our granddaughter, Sharlee had her Preschool Celebration
She is so excited to be going to Kindergarten next year.
Here is one of the many pictures that I took. She was singing a song and doing hand gestures.

My husband's brother and his wife came from WY for a short visit so lots of visiting with friends and relatives.

Now on to some stitchy stuff!
A Prairie Garden
 more of the boarder done
and the second square of flowers

And the reason I don't have more cross stitching done is because I decided to work on a table runner that I started awhile ago.
I have not got the quilting or backing on yet. I am planning on doing that this week sometime.

And I also spend some time working on my family's Genealogy which I can spend days on end doing. And I do believe that is what I will be doing today also.
So as my Husbands say "I am off in search of dead people"

Have a great week

a little of this and a little of that

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Weekend. I know I did. Had lots of family time.
We have had a few nice warm days here and now today we have rain. But the sun is suppose to shine this afternoon and get into the 60's.

I had a couple of Ladies ask about my floss box
I got it from Hobby Lobby and the brand name is Yarnology. I bought this box special for my We Three Kings project to keep all my supplies organized and in one place. Speaking of We Three Kings, I did work on it but not very much.
I have made a start on the third King
I have been struggling with the dark material and counting and seeing where I need to be so I went in search of some help and this is what I found.
An Ott Light with a small magnifier. You can use it in the stand you see here in the picture or it will clip to the hoop or Qsnap and gives me that extra light I need. A lot easier on my eyes now.

I could not help myself I started another project
It doesn't look like much yet, but in each square will be some flowers.
This piece is called A Prairie Garden by The Prairie Schooler. I started this on Sunday evening. I need to go to town and get more green floss as I am almost out. So until then I will work on the flowers.

Well thats about it for now,
I will leave you with a few pictures I took on Easter of my family.
