Beautiful Spring Weather!

Good Morning Everyone!!
Again it has been a while since I posted, but things have started to settle down around here. So its time for a little up date on what has kept me busy.
I work for the post office as a PMR and took my test to become a PSE and pass it. YA more money
Farm taxes are done and turned in to the accountant (and we get a refund this year - YA)
My Mother in law had open heart surgery last week and is home and doing good. YA!!!
We spent time with some of my husbands family for Easter Sunday. It was a great day of visiting and eating some good food.
This week has been spent getting caught up on laundry and deep cleaning the house. Oh and keeping an eye on the cows, as of yesterday we have 5 new baby calves, only 20 more to deliver

So now for the real fun stuff - my Stitching. I don't feel like I have accomplished a lot since my last update but I guess its better than nothing.

Last Saturday I spent the day in my sewing room and put this table runner top together it is now ready to be quilted and binding put on.
I love the bee's in the black material.

Well that's it for stitching for me this time.
I am going to leave you with some pictures I took on Easter Sunday Family Gathering

Why is it so hard to think of a title?

Good Saturday morning everyone. The sun is shining here and it is suppose to be in the 70's today, but with the good you also get the bad. Its suppose to be in the 40's by Monday with maybe some snow. Not that it will stick around long but not a good thing for my flowers that are blooming.

In my last post I said I would be updating my blog the next day and we are now 6 days later so here we go:
We had a lovely day on Easter and most of us eat our meal out on the deck ( there were about 30 people and not everyone could fix around the dinning room table)  and enjoy the sunshine. After the kitchen was cleaned up we went on our wagon ride
some of the kids
with a few adults mixed in

I can't remember what day it was but I got my self in the mood for some quilting and this is where I left off last night. As you can see I have the strips done and now I have to assemble the borders.
This picture will give you an idea of what it will look like. It's not anything fancy but I will enjoy covering up with it in the winter as I watch tv and stitch.

Next up I have another finish from the Crazy January Challenge 2012
This is my 3rd CJC finish this year.
Count your Blessings
Shakespeare's Peddler
Started -Jan. 3, 2012
Finished - April 12, 2012

I used 40 ct French Vanilla R&R Reproductions
and the GAST colors that were called for in the pattern.
I enlarged the picture so you could see the buttons that I added to the picture. I was cleaning and moving thing around and came across an old tin that belonged to my great aunt. It stuff full of these old buttons still on the cards they were sold on. These are just a few of them.

Well its noon here and I have not got much accomplished here yet, so I better get my butt moving so I can sit and stitch later.
enjoy your weekend!
Happy Stitching
