Day 10

Belinda Karls Nace - Blue Ribbon Designs

Day 11

Didn't get many stitches in last night. I really love the colors in this one.
I can't wait until the 15th is over so I can finish some of these started ones.

My granddaughter is here today and I could not resist the chance to snap a cute picture of her.

I went to the doctor last Thursday and he put me on a liquid diet & some meds for a couple of days and I am as good as new. I have not felt this good in a long time.

We also got our first snow of the season. It wasn't much just enough to make the ground white. But now it feels like winter around here.

Time to go and find my next CJC start for today.

CJC - Day 5,6,&7

Hi Everyone!
First I wanted to let everyone know that I am better after seeing the doctor. He told me after he did some blood work that my liver enzymes were high and that he supected my gall bladder was the cause of this so it was a liquid diet for a couple of days and everything seems to be back to normal now, just have to watch my fat intake for a while.
Now on to my new starts for this year.

Day 5 - Metamorphosis by Ink Circle
I really like doing this one, each of the designs is a different color, so there is no changing of colors all the time.

Day 6 - Hallelujah by LHN
This one is I think I will use as my January Christmas ornament.

Day 7 - USA Tall Trios by The Trilogy
This one I didn't get much done on because I worked yesterday at the Cattle Sale Barn. We had a long day selling bred cows and I came home exhausted. I got a good nights sleep and am ready to start another project,

CJC days 1 &2

January 1st found me a little under the weather and I stayed in my pj's all day and did nothing but watch Harry Potter movies, slept, and did a little stitching when I could keep my eyes open. So here is day one. Cappuccino from LHN.
and my progress
I am not sure I like the color of the cup yet. it kinda
blends in with my fabric that I picked out.
The floss pack came with the design.

January 2 I had to work at the Cattle Sale Barn all day and then my DD#1 and I went and had supper together. (No husband this week he is in WY snowmobiling with his buddies) I got home about 7:00pm, showered and put fresh smelling clothes on and managed a few stitches in my next new start.

Day 2
and my progress
This one is called Morning Star by Blackbird Designs

I have not done any stitching for day 3 yet. I wanted to get my blog updated and to catchup on some of my blog reading. I also have managed some house work all ready this morning and need to run to town and get some errands done. Then I plan on sitting and stitching the evening away.
I hope everyone is enjoying there stitching time!
Until tomorrow with another update.

Christmas Is Over

It has been a couple of weeks since I last posted a blog
so I decided it was time to get caught up.
I have tried to keep up on the reading of blogs but I
got a little behind on that also.
Right before Christmas I was busy getting some last minute
Stitching done.
Last year I wanted these stockings done, but never got
around to it. And I got the last one stitched on
on Christmas Eve this year. The girls all picked out there own
color they wanted.

The other project that I was working on was
pillow cases for each of the grandkids.
I should have said 6 grandkids and 1 son
Trey & Gavin got John Deere pillow cases
Kyla got butterflies
Kacee got princess
Kynzie got Tinkerbell
Sharlee got Minnie Mouse
and my son TJ got a Farmall pillow case
they all loved them.

Then I started a bread cover for the New Year
Isn't this just the cutest!
This was a little bit fussy with lots of half stitches
but I had fun spending a couple of evenings
stitching it.

And now that Christmas is over and the house
is cleaned back up I started stitching again on my Santa that
I had planned to have done by now. HaHa. It looks like it will be
for next year.
I have added the green section since I last took a
picture of this Santa. I will continue to work on him
until January 1st when I will be starting the
2012 Crazy Challenge. I will be doing 15 new starts and
will make a list of my WIP's (I think there are about 10 of them)
and work on finishing them up also.

Here are some pictures from Christmas Day here on our farm.
Kacee with her princess bank

Gavin was picking up the wrapping paper

Trey got the Cowboy Hat that he wanted

Kacee and Kynzie playing with their new paper dolls

My oldest daughter Jill and her daughter Sharlee

Daughter #2 Kay and her boyfriend Travis
and Kynzie stuck her head in at the last minute.
Silly girl!

And the little girls relaxing and watching Minnie Mouse

Well that just about does it for now.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I know that I did!
And I look forward too all the great stitching in the
New Year.

7 Days until Christmas

Can you believe this weather?
Here in South Dakota we usually always have snow
on the ground at Christmas time. I took a picture of
our outside thermometer and as you can see its
52 degrees in the shade. No snow is going to make it
around here today. And the 7 day forcast -
NO SNOW in sight!

OK I know that I have not posted anything for awhile
I think since the 9th of Dec. and I don't have any
stitching to show at this time. I have been working on
the grandkids stocking and when they are completed I will
post a picture of them.

I did get a very part time job working at the
Madison Livestock Auction Barn.
I get to sit beside the Auctioneer and
enter info into the computer and weight
the animals as they come in. I will be working
every Monday 8:30 am until they are done selling
usually about 6:00pm (long day)
And they have sales on Saturday during the winter
noon till about 4:00 (short day).
Boy do I come home smelling bad!
Oh well its easy work.

This next week will be busy, I still have a few gifts to pick up,
about half of the wrapping to do, 6 pillow cases to make, and
finish up the names on the Stockings. I am going to have
to put my time management to good use.

Not sure if I will be back to post again before
Christmas so if I don't get back I hope everyone has a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

decided to finish it into a pillow this morning
And here is the back fabric that I used

another Santa I have been working on

Christmas Stuff

I got my tree up last weekend and finally got a picture of it
Sorry I forgot to turn the lights on before I took the picture.
the following few pics are some ornaments that
I made many years ago.
I believe that this fan and this boot were from
Creative Circle when they were in business.

Also made many years ago and I think it came out
of a craft magazine

These next ornaments were made the year
My son when into the Army

This last ornament is one that I just made
this year
I took a clear Christmas Ball and stuffed all my
orts and ends from this year inside and labeled
it with the year.

No pictures of stitchie stuff, maybe tomorrow
I am working on another snowman
ornament and I'm just about done with it.

Thats about all for now.

Another Christmas ornament done!

Candy Cane by Madame la Fee
32 ct Cafe Mocha
Dmc Floss

I actually finished stitching this one on Wednesday night
and framed it last night. It is now hanging on my tree.
Last night as I finished this one up I decided to put a little
project together and here it is
I found this block at Lowes and bought some
pink & green ornament (little ones),
some pink & green ribbon and
a small string of white lights.
I have it sitting on my kitchen counter.
I just love it! and they are so easy to put together.

Last night I sat and stitched on names for the
grandkids stockings that I hang up for them. I had two done,
Trey & Gavins have been done since they were born, Sharlee needs her
name stitched and I have to do Kay's three adopted girls names stitched
on there stockings. This shouldn't take to long to get them done.
1 name done 3 to go.
Will post pics when I have them completed

Well I am off to finish the last of my Christmas decorating
and then I have to do some errands for my DH and DS.
Hopfully I will get some stitching time in today.
We will see?

My Thanksgiving Week

Just a quick post before my granddaughter gets here to spend the day.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! Our meal was on Friday
So the girls could go to there in-laws for the
Thanksgiving day.
Thursday night we left to start shopping for black friday.
we started at walmart and went to Target & Kohl.
The lines were long (45 min wait)but I did get some
good deals and a lot of christmas shopping done!
Our group got home about 3:30, we slept
for a couple of hours and then it was up to get our
Thanksgiving dinner going.

This was the second time that I went Black friday shopping
but I think the girls are going to leave me home next time.
They seem to think I slow them down a little.
It really is not my cup of tea, with the crowds and all.
so it might have been my last.

After our fabulous meal and a short nap, my oldest
Daughter decided we had not shopped enough so back to
Sioux Falls we went this time we went to Hobby Lobby
& Joanne Fabrics. Now this is my kind of shopping.
I got fabric to make fun pillow cases for each of my
6 grandchildren. and stocked up on DMC floss and needles
(the gold plated ones)

I got my tree up and decorated and now I have to go
thru more boxes of decorations to hang and set around the house.
I just love this time of year.

I have not finish finished anything lately but I have some things  to show:
First up is a small christmas ornament, I have showed
the first 3 to this set in a previous post. They are small
but I don't know that I will get all 12 done by Christmas
We will see how things go.
Next Up
I got the blue and white done on Santas beard .
And then I just had to start a new one.
This one is a freebie that I saw on a blog,
This one is almost done just have some of the
candy cane to finish up. I will post where you can
find this pattern when I do my next post as this one
should be done by then.

My granddaughter is here and watching Minne Mouse already.

I just have to share a few more pics of my family:
these were taken on Friday after we ate.
My Husband Terry and 2 of our granddaughters.

My son TJ giving another granddaughter a ride.

and our youngest grandson riding his 3 wheeler.
They all had a blast.

Oh and I forgot this picture
These 3 spent Wednesday before Thanksgiving with me and
they decided they needed a fort in my living room.
They had the dinning room chairs, the couch cushions and
every blanket they could find.

Well I better get to finishing my christmas decorating and spending
some time with the little one here.
Happy Stitching!
Denise

Good Morning Everyone! I just got back from having coffee with my daughter. This is something I don't normally get to do because she ...
