Christmas Eve is here!

Good Morning Everyone!
Merry Christmas!
It is so cold out there right now that I don't want to leave the house, but I do have some errands to run today and then its home to get ready for our family get together tomorrow. I can't wait, this is one of my favorite days of the year!
Thursday I finished my Christmas shopping, then I treated myself to a haircut and got my nails done. I also found out on Thursday that at the beginning of the year I will be working a 40 hour week for the post office for about 8 weeks. I haven't worked a 40 hour week in about 3-4 years. So this will be a change for me, but I can do this! If you don't hear from me for a while you know why.
Yesterday I got to spend the day with a sweet little girl - my nieces little girl. Her name is Amaya. I should have taken a couple of pictures to show you, but I took some on my phone and now can't figure out how to get it on my blog. Some day I will figure out all this technology.

I have been working on American Flag Quilt Sampler this past week. I thought that I would get bored with it and go back to We Three Kings but I am still enjoying it so here is my update of the past week.
Finished New Jersey on Wednesday  12/18/13

Finished Georgia in the 19th

Finished the Star on the 23rd

What I have completed as of  yesterday morning.
I started Connecticut last night, and I should have it done this evening. Only 8 more states of the original 13 states added to the Union. Then page one of four will be done. They do stitch up pretty quickly.

Well its time to jump in the shower and then get busy with some cleaning and my errands that need to be ran.
Hope everyone has a Blessed Christmas!
I love spending time with my family!

Happy Holidays

A New Start!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I finally got my Christmas decorating done and I have 2 more gifts to go out and pick up and I will be all set for December 25th. I guess I will have to take that back I have to plan our Christmas Brunch that we have before we open presents. Always something.

I had been working on We Three Kings and here is my progress as of  Dec 7,
Slowly but surely I will get this done - I am hoping by next Christmas it will be in a frame and hanging in the house.
Last Sunday I could not resist a new start. I have had it for a short while in my stash. I watch the progress of  a fellow blogger  and I knew I was going to stitch this one.
It is called  American Flag Quilt Sampler

I am using 30 ct fabric that I had in my stash and the called for DMC floss.
Yesterday I was planning on posting a picture of my new start but never got around to it.
Here is the picture I took yesterday morning,

And this is the picture I took this morning
Delaware is done - the first of many!

I took this picture of my oldest daughter and her family earlier this fall.

Well thats about it for today. I hope everyone is staying warm in this very cold weather!
Happy Holidays

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Holiday!
Our 3 children, SIL,DIL, & 3 grandchildren spent the day with us.
Lots of food, enjoyed watching the kids play, and of course looking through Black Friday ads.
I don't do the Black Friday shopping but I like to look at the ads and get ideas. Then I tell  my daughters what they can buy me for christmas. hehe
November has been a busy month for some reason - so not as much stitching for me.
I did finish Hope for the Holidays
