Return from Weekend Retreat

Good Morning Everyone!
Time fly's by and Its been awhile since I blogged.
Stitching has been off and on for me. I have been working on getting my taxes done so I could get them to the tax man. Last weekend I went to Lake Shetek for a weekend stitching retreat with about 35 other women. Some cross stitched, some quilted and some scrap booked, lots of creativity going on. Here are a few pictures of the weekend.
Our mornings started with a beautiful sunrise!

This is my daughter learning to applique -  her first time ( the lady that is showing her how to do this project just happens to have been her 4th grade teacher also)
And this is her finished appliqued wall hanging. She did a great job for the first time.

The weather was so nice that some sat outside and worked on there projects.
What a peaceful place to stitch

  Some sat and napped.

I had one finish over that weekend
Garden Rose by Blackbird Designs
started - 2/8/15
finished stitching - 2/14/15
fabric - 32ct cream Belfast linen
threads- Classic Color Works - Jakey Brown

And the next two pieces I just worked on. I have pictures of them and they look great until I put them on here and they look horrible so I will have to show them in the next post after I figure out what's going on.
They were We Three Kings and American Flag Quilt Sampler. I have a long ways to go on both of them.
Here is an example of what the pictures look like when I download them and they look fine on the camera. oh well you can see how far I have gotten any way.

I do have a new start but I will tell you about it in my next post.

This last picture is of my 3 favorite girls
daughter, Kay - Granddaughter, Sharlee and daughter, Jill
Until Next Time
Happy Stitching
Denise

It was fun stitching with you at Lake Shetek Denise. It's amazing how much talent in in each of those 35 or so women. And I'm so happy my mom was there to help Jill with her project.
