2 New Starts

Good Morning Everyone!

I got the husband off on his snow mobile trip to WY this morning , so that means I have the 4 days to myself! I don't have to cook if I don't want to and If I don't cook that means no dishes to do (I hate dishes)

Last weekend my daughters and I went to a Martina Mcbride concert, it was awesome! We went out and had Mexican for supper before the concert which was excellent also!!!! That was Friday night and Saturday my grandson's had basketball tournaments until 2:00 - I very much enjoyed the morning sitting and watching them play. Then I headed to Madison for Kacee's 9th birthday party, at the community center so the kids could swim in the indoor pool they had a blast. I didn't get home until about 7:00 and I was ready to sit and put my feet up!

Saturday I also finished stitching the main part of Woodland Folks so now all I have to do is add the clouds and Zachary's birth information.

I have had a couple of new starts this past week - the first one I saw on ebay  and wanted it really bad. I bid on it and end up being out bid at the last minute. So I went searching to see if I could find another one. Ended up ordering it from 123 Stitch. The funny part is that I got the pattern and the called for floss for less than what the person on ebay paid for her pattern so I turn out the winner.
Here is my progress on Rose Garden
 by Blackbird Design.
Stitched on 32 ct crea Belfast linen
with Classic Color Works - Jakey Brown

My second new start is called Let it Snow
designed by Ozark Sampler - Mill Hill
Here is my progress
I can not remember the last time I used 14 ct Aida, but I had a pretty piece of light blue ( which you can't see by my picture) which matched the floss that I am using perfectly. (14ct is also easier on the eyes) Kinda fun to switch it up a little.

I have to work this afternoon but have tomorrow off from work. I plan to go and get my nails done and do a little shopping. Then tomorrow night my granddaughter will perform at half time of the basketball game. This will be the first time that I will see her dance with her group. Should be fun to watch.

My husband and I had our picture
 taken for the church directory

Well that's about all for this week!
Happy Stitching
Denise
